Norman Eule has over thirty years of experience in counseling business owners and senior executives on the tax aspects and consequences of commercial transactions, and is skilled in planning, structuring and completing acquisitions, divestitures, reorganizations, business formations and affiliations from both a tax and business perspective. His tax practice focuses on business taxation, employee benefits and executive compensation arrangements; and is particularly adept at helping clients achieve their true economic and business objectives in the most tax efficient manner possible. As part of his practice, he has represented individuals, businesses, retirement plans and other forms of tax exempt organizations in connection with requests to the Internal Revenue Service for private letter rulings and determination letters, and at the various levels of the IRS and state tax agencies.
Norm graduated with Highest Honors from the George Washington University Law School, where he served as a member and Senior Associate of the Law Review and was selected for inclusion in the Order of the Coif, a highly selective national legal honor society. He is an Adjunct Professor of Law at both the George Washington University and American University Law Schools in Washington, DC, and was awarded the American University Faculty Award for Outstanding Teaching in an Adjunct Position in 2001. Norman serves on the Editorial Board of Practical Tax Strategies, a well respected publication for tax professionals, and is the author of numerous tax and employee benefits articles which have appeared in various professional publications. He is admitted to practice law in the District of Columbia and Maryland, and before the US Tax Court. Norm is a past president of Congregation Beth El of Montgomery County, Maryland, and joined the firm as a partner in 2007.
